another cold related post , this time for 3+ yo mommies
Now that your DC is older , when they get a cold do you use any kind of decongestant? cough med? cold med?
(obviously I will call our ped to ask if needed , but I'm just curious)

I am all about the hot steam showers when they have a cold. It really clears them out.
Other than that - just a cool mist humidifier

The only thing I do is give Motrin/Tylenol if fever is present, steam showers, cool mist humidifier, honey, and I rub Mikey's chest before he goes to bed with either Baby Vicks ot this Eucalyptus oil (100% natural) my grandmother gave me. No cough/decongestants until after he turns 4.

I use Delsym for cough and it works wonders.
