Another Disappointment

Hey Ladies,

As some of you may know, I had my 2nd mc in October. Found out in Decemeber that it was a molar (after a miss diagnoses) and the D&C was not complete and that is why I am still bleeding, no AF and high HcG levels.

They told me to have another D&C so off I went the first week of January. Just found out that the D&C didnt help it. The molar pg started to grow back. Chemo is the next option. Praying that the cells didnt leave the uterious lining.

I guess I wont be getting pg or ttc for at least another year.

I am so sad and I honestly dont feel good at all. I have been crying all week. I decided to go to Memorial Sloan and Kettering Cancer Center GYN unit to deal with the molar. I feel so numb. Not sure what to do or where to turn too. I really thought the new year would bring great things. . I cant even go and get a message or sit in a hot bath.

AHHHH I just want it to be over. I am so tired of going to doctors and nothing changing. I could just scream

I am so sorry for all you have been through. I can't believe they didn't catch this from the beginning.

I know it's a lot to take in right now, but hopefully with a little chemo they will remove everything.

I think it is good that you are going directly to Memorial Sloan Kettering, they are def one of the top places..so you will be in good hands.

When will be you first appt with them?

I know this is delaying ttc for awhile, but most importantly is to make sure you are Healthy!!

I never even knew all this was possible to have happen. I'm soo sorry. This is awful.

Hey Ladies,

Thanks for your support. Everyone at the cancer center was supportive and on top of things.

They told me I have Gestational Trophoblastic Disease. Its when a molar pg doesnt go away. It begins to act like cancer and then it turns into cancer. I have to go again this week to get tested to make sure it didnt spread. I then have to have a cocktails of meds including chemo . They are working on figuring out what level I am in GTD.

I have never heard of such a thing. It is so fustrating to deal with something I never even imagine could happen. I hope they can fix me. I also found out that if everything goes well and I am in stage 1 of the disease I can try again in 6 months but if I am in stage 2,3,4 then it will most likely be 1 year. I am praying really hard that I am type 1. REALLY REALLY Hard. The cure rate is really high with this type of disease. Fingers crossed for my next week visit.

And if you have any questions regarding chemo etc., FM me, my brother just got done with 6 months of chemo, so he may be able to answer questions you may have.

I am so, so sorry you are going through this!! I cant even imagine....

I will be praying that you are only in phase 1 and cured very soon!!
