Reminds me of the woman last week who parked in the handicap spot and then ran full speed up the steps to catch the train.
BTW, absolutely loving the phrase "Hypothetical Diabetic." I'm trying to find a way to use that phrase in real life.

I sometimes leave a note on the car... Also, i try to park really close to their car door to make it hard to get in. :) Garden City tickets for this!

I'm not saying that I have keyed their cars, but I'm not saying that I haven't, either.

Another parking issue.. what do we think about those who deliberately park in the midde of two spots so that no one can park near their car?
It is annoying
But what annoys me more? When I park nicely and go into a store, only to come out and realize I can barely squeeze into my car because some idiot parked thisclose to my door.
The worst is when they do it and I'm trying to get my kids in their car seats. I really don't want my car door touching yours, but you made it impossible for me not to! I still try to be careful but it gets me ragey.

They are a$$holes
This... we used to have these little notes that said something like you park like an @sshole!
Understand I'm a car fan and drive a bright yellow sports sedan. I have parked far from a door to get what we call 'new car parking', but all our car buddies agree. Idiots who take two spots are just asses all the way around.
Then again.... I drive an SUV (my beater) and a few of my car buddies drive daily drivers they dont worry about. We have at least once been invovled in retailation parking.. (not proud now but I was younger) and yes.. it was umm fun
If I burn in hell for it, it will be the least of my crimes!
We'd park a car on both sides as if it was normally parked (or in my friend's case he'd park as close as he could get)
Still better than the suggested... "Let's key that little shit!"

Re: Another parking issue.. what do we think about those who deliberately park in the midde of two spots so that no one can park near their car?
This is not a justification.
My car is wide - or at least, wider than the one I was driving for the last 10 years - and after reading this my first thought was that must be the reason.. because some SUVs are so fricken wide they barely fit in one spot.
That said, I will always park next to a Mini Cooper if I can. I lived in Brooklyn much too long to be an asshole when it comes to parking my car.

Another parking issue.. what do we think about those who deliberately park in the midde of two spots so that no one can park near their car?
Kind of unrelated - but sorta funny
I feel like I live at Target. Some employees know my kids by how often we are there - and one day Dee Synder (he's sort of local) pulled in NEXT to me as I was walking out.
There he was. Bleach blonde, drove some crazy purple car that looked all decked out and parked NEXT TO MY vehicle.
But because he seems down to earth, he wasn't some jerk taking up 2 spots or parked in Siberia.
I had never in my life been so scared to pull out of a spot

I think those cards are the most obnoxious things ever. Really.
IMO,,the note left by Skinny is more appropriate. It's simple and respectful and gets the point across.
But yeah, cars that use 2 spots, especially at work, are jack asses. Plain and simple. We know there are limited spots, so why take up 2 spots.

Hey, if you accidentally walk by with your keys hanging out of your pocket and walk too close to the car, it is just an accident.

No excuse if you are so concerned about your car either leave it at home and don't drive it or park far away where you are less likely to have some park next to you.
What really drives me crazy is when someone pulls so close that you have to be a piece of paper to fit in the space left to get into your car. Or so close that I cannot get the door open enough that my 3 year old can climb in nevermind buckle her in her seat. In college there were these sheets with mickey mouse on them with some saying about thank you for parking so close that the person needed a can opener to get into their car.

I wonder if they can get ticketed for that. I am sure they can. I WISH WISH WISH they'd come out to a summons on their car one day. Maybe then they'd stop!
I agree 100%. They should get ticketed. Its really isnt fair.

I cannot stand it. I want to key their car, slash their tires and then pee on the doorhandle.
But I don't. I just shake my head and hope they get a flat on the way home for being a total douche.
THIS EXACTLY -- I HATE these types of people.

I think they are a55holes unless they park in no man's land.
Then I think they are paranoid about their car but willing to make the walk. They are more dedicated to their car than I ever would be but I don't care.
I'm more obsessed with the guy at the train station that has a beaten up, old Ford Focus that uses the Club. He parks next to a brand new BMW & secures that POS car like it's Fort Knox.

Club is useless unless its a standard key (not slot key type) and on the brake/clutch.
Still I have a soft spot for that beat up POS with the loud alarm and using the club.
That's someone who probably can't just replace that car on a whim and would be up shit creek without it. They may put stickers on it, spend money on a radio but not the exhaust (pushing out black smoke) but that POS is all they got.
I can respect that. I still can't look at a BMW the same way. To me the Beemer is just screaming "I HAVE MONEY!" Don't get me wrong I love the X5 but I'd never justify owning one unless I had excess funds. Since that's never been my life nor will it be in my future I nod my cap to the 80's car and roll my eyes at the fancy new high end cars. I especially giggle at Lexus and Acuras as they are just Toyotas and Hondas.
My POS 1985 Mercury Lynx was the world to me. My Holographic Marvin the Martian sticker up on the top right of my windshield, the worn out door strips, the small dent on the back left panel, the cloudy headlights the extremely lame and barely noticable generic gray color paint, the small tires that were hard to find replacements since they were so small (didnt know that when I got it). The welded spot in the middle of the car where I used to be able to see the ground speed by, the way it would leak cold in no matter what. The small tears in the back of the seat on the passenger side. How it would rattle a little at 40. Otherwise soothe running car. Great stereo with replaced back speakers. I cried when it was totaled. I got $150 for it.
Still.. it was mine, all mine and POS it was, it was MY POS. Club and all!

This drives me insane. I hate when idiots park on an angle in the spots. Would it kill someone to straighten out their car so they fit between the two lines thereby making life easier for all parties? People are just rude.

Re: Another parking issue.. what do we think about those who deliberately park in the midde of two spots so that no one can park near their car?
While I doubt this is frequently the case, I have seen handicapped people park like this probably when all the handicapped spots were taken. I suppose its possible that a person in a wheelchair could be traveling with someone else and not have their pass and park in the middle of two spots to get out of the car.
Just playing devils advocate!

Possible, not likely. The likelihood of it just being some d0uche is FAR greater.
