Another running question- How do I get back into it? (after YEARS)
When I was in college I had no problem running 2 miles steadily without stopping or getting out of breath. I used to be in great shape!
... Then life got in the way!!
I really would like to get back into it and my ULTIMATE goal is to be able to run 3 miles daily.
What is the best way to get started?
Right now I'm lucky to run any amount of time.. even like .. 2 minutes I feel like I've regressed to worse than a beginner. How should I get started and how long can I reasonably expect it to take to achieve my goal?
thank you so much ladies!!

There is an app for the iphone/itouch that you can download called Couch to 5k. It's really good. It starts you gradually walking and running in intervals and gradually builds you up to a 5k (a little over 3 miles I think).

No problem! I'm actually in the same boat... I used to run ALL THE TIME and well, 2 kids later, I have really let myself go when it comes to exercising and taking care of myself.
The cool thing about the app is that your regular playlists can play and the app talks over the music. Good luck! I am only about 3 days in, but so far so good

You can also download it online for your iPod. Search for Robert Ullery and couch to 5k podcast. That's what I used and now I'm training for a half marathon!

I think couch to 5k is a perfect fit for you! It will help you gradually build up to where you want to be!

Take it slow, and ramp up! You will do great and get back into the swing of things soon
