Eating question for moms of 1 years oldies
Is it just me?
So I make the kid some dinner, lovely rice and veggies with beef, feed him 2/3 bites and he decides he would rather feed himself, so then I have to have a backup finger food ready. Some nights I have to give him 3 or 4 different things to find 1 thing that he likes!! If it were up to Noah, he would eat cheddar cheese omlettes every stinking night of the week...how eggbound would he be???
Anyone else?

right now sarah will pretty much only eat applesauce, cheese, bread and cheerios. oh and she gets very excited over her vitamin. i figure at least she's getting something into herself.

same thing happens here... I give her some baby food which she eats vigorgously for a few bites then cries for finger foods, so I always have some ready... She will usually go back to baby food after a few bites of whatever else I give her. I also find that taking a few sips of water in between makes her eat more.

We go through the same thing. Thank goodness we have a dog or I would feel very guilty about all that gets wasted. I do try to make most meals finger foods because she does prefer to feed herself.

OH man! I wish we had a dog! Cats aren't so good with food on the floor!
Noah does this thing where he takes the food in his fist, then he SQUEEZES it so hard that veins pop out on his forehead and his whole body shakes, then he SCHMOOSHES it in his mouth. Oh its fun fun fun. He is learning to eat with a spoon, but he aint so good at it!

By 6 -7 months, Gianni refused me feeding him. Since then, it's been a mess ever since. At least Gabriella was quaint about eating, not my boy!
