Another smoothop oven question
This may sound really silly, but can you take a hot dish out of the oven and place it on top of the stove to cool? I know the smoothtop is used to cook, but I'm worried that if it isn't hot already and placing a hot item on it, the glass will crack? I have to say this is annoying, because I have to get out the trivets before taking the food out of the oven so I have somewhere to put it. Is this how it works?

I do it all the time and have no issues with staining, scratching or cracking.

Re: Another smoothop oven question
The instruction manual says not to, so I try to use trivets. I wish I had a gas cooktop.

I do. But you're not silly in asking, because I think I read somewhere that your not supposed to. But I never had a problem.
