Anterior Placenta
Anyone told they have an anterior placenta? They told me this at my 20 week Level 2 Sonogram and said the only thing w/ it is that my kicks won't be felt on the outside for a little.
Any thoughts on feeling kicks when you have this? I want my DH to feel them on the outside!

Re: Anterior Placenta
I had one this time around. I didn't feel solid kicks until 20-21 weeks. I felt flutters, etc really early but kicks were really delayed compared to my first.

Anterior Placenta
I have an anterior placenta as well. I was told at week 16. Was pretty sure about feeling the baby around week 20. Today at week 22 and 4 days, I had a breakthrough! I put my cell phone on my belly and my husband could see her kicks move the phone. He stillhasnt had good timing with feeling them yet but it was exciting to see him react to finally have some proof there's a little one in there (minus my expanding belly lol)

Re: Anterior Placenta
I've had both now and didn't really notice a difference either way. My first had anterior placenta this baby has posterior placenta. Both babies have been movers and my husband has been able to feel them equally well.

Re: Anterior Placenta
I had it and to be honest I only felt a kick like once or twice. Barely ever. Flutters not until like 24 weeks and never any kicks. DH definitely could never feel anything on the outside. I remember having sonos and the tech would be like- wow did you feel that huge kick I just saw? And I'd be like- what kick?
I barely ever felt her move or kick.
I was ok with that though because to be honest feeling movement and that whole thing where the belly moves and you can see movement on the outside really freaked me out./

Re: Anterior Placenta
I had an anterior placenta with 2 pregnancies. Didn't feel the kicking till MUCH later (the kid rotated so the kicks were all on the side of my abdomen). Maybe felt them at around 28-30 weeks!

Anterior Placenta
I had one. It wasn't a big deal but I didn't feel until later. And my DS was breech. I wonder if it affected him turning (he didn't).

Re: Anterior Placenta
I had one. I felt movement around 24 weeks, but it was NEVER consistent. DH was able to feel DS move around shortly after I was able to feel him. It usually happened when we laid in bed at night.
At the end of my pregnancy, they would hook me up to the NST and say push the button when you feel him move - ha! The non-stress test was therefore always stressful for me since I didn't feel him move a lot.
My sister has had an anterior placenta and felt a lot of movement with both her pregnancies.
