Anterior placenta and 3rd trimester movement
Did anyone with an anterior placenta get some sort of movement guideline from their doctor? With my last pregnancy, I had a posterior placenta, and the doctor told me a good guideline for making sure I am feeling enough movement every day. I haven't asked this time around, but I just started the 3rd trimester (I'm almost 28w) and in the last day or 2 I have felt less movement than I have been feeling recently. Even with the anterior placenta, I have been feeling a lot of consistent kicks and stretches for weeks now. Just wondering if the "guidelines" for movement were different with anterior placentas.

Re: Anterior placenta and 3rd trimester movement
I am 29 weeks and have an anterior placenta, when i went to the doc last week she just told me to spend some time twice a day to take note of movement. She didn't tell me to do counts or anything, just to feel some movement. I was feeling really anxious bc I hadnt felt much movement for a couple of days, but my doc reminded me that I will prob only feel movement when she kicks down low or on the sides.I also feel some movement in the back, like towards my butt-which feels so weird. I still have some anxiety but I have been feeling more movement throughout the days now..

Re: Anterior placenta and 3rd trimester movement
I haven't spoken to my Dr about this yet, but at 31 1/2 weeks, I can tell you that has had several quiet days...usually right before i "pop" a litle more.
Right around 28 weeks, I had about 36 hours where I didn't feel much of anything...I was about to call the Dr when must have flipped, and I felt hard, strong movement the rest of the day.
If you are concerned, call your OB, but in my experience, it is normal for them to have quiet times...especially with the anterior placenta, where we can't feel as much of the smaller movements

Re: Anterior placenta and 3rd trimester movement
So having recently found out that I have an anterior placenta, I was getting really worried about movements, especially when I kept reading, you can see your skin rolling etc.. anyway.. I going nuts and my dr. was like the kicks and punches are there, the position of the baby is key so don't stress. Sometimes I drink something cold, or sweet and within a few minutes, I can feel more movement.
eta: I will be 31 weeks soon.

Re: Anterior placenta and 3rd trimester movement
i'm 31 weeks with an anterior placenta. i didn't receive any guidelines from the doctor but i do notice that LO will have really active days and then some quiet days. his movement is always within the 10 kicks/hour when i do kick counts. i just figure either his active days tucker him out or he moved into a position where his movements are being cushioned by the placenta.
