Anxiety Sufferers - question for you
Pardon me for being a bit naive about the subject - i was just wondering - when you say you have anxiety - what causes your anxiety? Do you get anxiety about certain situations like social gatherings, driving, public speaking, worrying about your children, family etc....
Just trying to better understand if what I have been experiencing is a bit of anxiety.....I know anxiety can have so many causes and effects. Also - what are you taking for it - if anything?
Thanks.

Re: Anxiety Sufferers - question for you
whenever i will be the focus of attention - i get VERY bad anxiety.
for me - i shake, turn BRIGHT red and i mean coke can RED, my stomach hurts and i hate it. for THOSE times - when i'm aware ahead of time that it will happen (wedding, etc.) - i take xanax. it helps me a lot.

Re: Anxiety Sufferers - question for you
Panic attacks out of the blue...Like while eating dinner, watching a movie etc. Then having generalized anxiety about having more panic attacks in the place where they last occured leading to constant anxiety feelings with physical symptoms like heart racing, tightness in chest/ trouble getting a deep breath, sweaty palms, can't eat, nervous stomach feeling woozy/disconnected, insomnia etc. It is joyous let me tell you. Tried Lexapro but hated it and am trying to be totally off of it(with terrible w/draw). I find more help with therapy and self help books/meditation.

Re: Anxiety Sufferers - question for you
I have generalized anxiety.
Usually change triggers it. I obsess over "what if's" What if I get sick? What if my parents divorce? What if DH leaves me? What if someone in my family gets sick or passes away?
Once I get a thought in my mind- I can't get rid of it and the anxiety starts...it sucks.

Same here! Out of the blue for the most part. I do tend to get more anxious in crowded stores or restaurants, if I feel trapped and I can trigger an attack that way.
Ironically, during stressful situation like my kids getting hurt or something, I stay calm But when it's all over with, I lose it
