Re: any feed back on Disneys Port Orleans hotel?
Port Orleans French Quarter is my favorite moderate hotel, with Port Orleans RIverside as my 2nd favorite.
Both resorts have a quieter laid back feel, great pools, and easy access via peaceful boat ride to Downtown Disney.
The reason I typically prefer French Quarter is that it's smaller and more intimate, even romantic. No matter where your room is, you're close to the pool, lobby and bus stops.
Riverside has more entertainment options (including Yeeha Bob!), and it has the new Royal Guest Rooms which are quite fabulous.
The good news is that since they are sister resorts, you can use amenities at either resort while staying at one.

I agree with Jennifer! We LOVE PO-French Quarter. It was quiet, romantic and cozy.
Short bus ride to magic kingdom. Gorgeous boat ride to downtown Disney.
Amazing food like jambalaya and beignets. Quick boatride to Riverside, great restaurant there too.
Loved that there was almost no Disney theming, I felt like that gave us a Mickey break.
I walked out of my extremely quiet room in the morning and there was a beautiful fountain in front of me and a gorgeous river to the left. It was truly a "vacation." Let me know if you want to see pictures or have more specific questions! Also so easy with a stroller, had a first floor room.
My Review.

Re: any feed back on Disneys Port Orleans hotel?
We stayed in the royal guest rooms (princess rooms) in the Riverside portion of the resort in May. We liked POR a bit more in feel than POFQ. Both are nice and very relaxing. Feel free to ask quesions. We loved the hotel. The hotel has tons to do from...Surrey bikes, boat rentals, the girls loved the carriage ride, boat to dtd, fishing, marshmellow roasting, movies under the stars, great pool with a fun slide kids never wanted to leave. Food court was good.

I absolutely LOVE Disney's Port Orleans Resort. The Princess themed Royal Guest Rooms are so adorable, I wanted to move in!
I love the romantic feel of the French Quarter side of the resort. It's quaint, and adorable, and the perfect size resort.
There are so many fun activities at Port Orleans Resort too. There are bike rentals, pole fishing, great pools, and great dining locations! The corn bread and pecan pie at Boatwright's is delicious!!
Not only do I love the resort, but it's a favorite among my clients as well.

We did not stay there but we went there for dinner at the Boathouse. I thought the resort was lovely. We took the boat to downtown Disney. We really enjoyed that. The pool looked like a lot of fun. We also passed by an outdoor moving that was playing.

We stayed at POFQ and really loved it. As others stated, it is a small manageable size, intimate, beautiful, and a short trip on the bus to the parks. No long walk to the bus stop, or dining area. We would definitely stay there again.

We didn't love Port Orleans. I heard great things about it. I thought the rooms were gross and we were just totally unimpressed.

How long ago did you go? They were all completely redone about 1-1.5 years ago.

Re: any feed back on Disneys Port Orleans hotel?
We stayed at Port Orleans Riverside Last year, we LOVED it. They just re-did all the rooms. The rooms were fairly large for Disney standards, the grounds were so pretty, the boat takes you from t here to downtown Disney and everything was close by. Not a bad thing to say at all about it!

any feed back on Disneys Port Orleans hotel?
We were jsut there in June - my 2nd time there. Still love it. This time our room faced a courtyard, so we were totally isolated from the "real world" But it was still really close to the pool and main area.
