They still make it but it definitely does not work as well as the old school ones.
Gosh, I remember my cousin and I sitting on it and it would literally toss us off  SHe got my kids one (I was so excited) and you could hardly spin on it. Its totally not worth it - def. not the same experience as we had as kids.

We bought this a few years ago for my nephew when he was 3 or 4... same problem, the thing would barely spin! Nephew was all done with it in like 5 minutes, total waste.

I saw that... DS is way too young for it now, but the ones they make now are nothing like the one they made. I'd make myself ill...

We have it and DD loves it. It was so mean but so cute when DS would try to stand on it as he is learning to walk and his feet would slip out from under him. It was too funny

Thomas got it last year for Christmas and he was too young to grasp how to make himself spin. Now he uses it and likes it, but it isn't his favorite thing. But I feel it's one of those classic toys you have to buy!

Totally was obsessed with this toy as a kid. I was big on making myself dizzy. I couldn't wait to buy it for my nephew when he was old enough. Don't think he was that big into it though.

My best friend got DS one for his 1st birthday. We used to use it togther when we were kids so she thought it would be funny. I can't wait for DS to use it!

ITA!! My DD is really starting to like it now that she's closer to 3 and my DS loves to stand on it and laughs when he falls off!
