Any moms who attempted a plane ride alone with a 2 year old?
My parents have a house in FL for a month in Feb. and want us to come down for a few days. DH cannot get off work, so it would just be me and my 2 year old son. DH could drop us off at Islip, we'd fly nonstop on Southwest to FL where my parents would meet us. Am I crazy to do this or is it manageable? I'm assuming I should buy that thing from One Step Ahead that converts the car seat into a stroller, right? Any other recommendations, words of caution, etc.? Feel free to tell me I'm crazy if you think I am.
Thanks!

I have not done it as my dd is only 9 months old. I do not think you are crazy, it is very doable and it is a short flight
go and have fun, bring lots of snacks and maybe a movie to entertain her on the plane

That's a short flight. I don't think it would be that bad.

I did it with my DD when she was 2. I carried the Marathon carseat in a carrier bag and had her in an umbrella stroller. It wasnt so bad. More than one kid, I might think you were crazy but I found it manageable.

I did it and it was not bad. I suggest going out and buying a few small toys that she has never seen and then pulling them out on the plane ride when she gets fussy. I also brought treats that she only got occasionally and used those to keep the boredom and fussyness under control. It will be fine and worth the trip I am sure. Good Luck.
