Any tips for handling a large crowd on zoom?
As I said in my previous post we are having a "surprise party" for my brother on zoom. I have about 75 people coming to it which is awesome for him but I really have no idea how to manage the crowd. Any tips?

Zoom is great for meetings where there is some type of organization and structure. Parties are a different story.
I'd mute everyone, and then un-mute a few at a time to say a little something to your brother. Or if you have any games planned only do them in small groups and let the rest watch. We just did a family party and with 30 people it was getting overwhelming, so 75 it will be tough. Especially since you can't see everyone on the same screen at that size.

I think 75 would be too overwhelming. Why not separate it down to smaller groups of 5 to 10 people based on how they know him and give them each a half hour slot? Then once their slot is over they sign off and the new people join. That way he will get to mingle with everyone and it won't be crazy with everyone talking at once.

Oh okay. Good idea. Thank you!

Thank you! Do you know the max number of people you can see on the screen at once?

On my ipad I think I can see 9 screens total. On the laptop I think I can get 12 screens up in one view.
I've never joined a meeting from my phone, but I'm assuming you can see even less.

It depends on the device. On a phone, I think it's just 4. I've had 20 on my laptop screen at one time. I don't know the maximum number, though. I could probably get a bunch more if I displayed it on my bigger monitor.

I have seen people posting meetings with a lot of people but the pics are really small.
