Anybody have a webcam with a young child?

That's what my Dad sent us for Mother's Day so we can chat with him. Love the idea but not so sure Ellie's going to sit still for this at 11 mos old. She really won't sit still for anything except Baby Einstein of course which still puts a spell on her Just wondering if this worked for you. Curious how well it'll work out. We can't get it set up right yet so I won't know for sure for a while.

We have a webcam for my mil in florida. Ds will sometimes put on a show, but often we just direct the cam at him while he plays. At first he was entertained by seeing his Grandma but not so much anymore.

Yes! We do....with a 17 day old! MIL lives in Florida and bought it for us for this past Christmas. She first bought one for SIL to see my neice, then decided to get us one too.

We use Skype to talk to her and they started doing this when my neice was about six months old and they say it just keeps getting better, she is 19 months old now. They keep a special toy by the computer for Sophia to use, but that is primarily how she sees her grandmas.
