Re: anyone early on(1st tri) and always nervous?

UM YESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAHAHAHA!!!!
I do all of this. All the time. It's just a scary time. And especially with a history it can make it even more scary.
I certainly count the days till I hit the 12 week mark as well... that should be around Dec 19th for me... so I was MOST eager to get on with starting the Christmas season, in an effort to make it feel as though that marker is closer. I also count down the weeks and days.

I think it's pretty common to do all of these things.

Hang in there.

First trimester is so difficult because of the terrible statistics. For both of my pregnancies I found myself wishing away the first 12 weeks! Hang in there, you are definitely not alone. Chat Icon

ITA - totally normal to be super anxious and worried! It's just the nature of being pregnant ... I barely found any time to enjoy it!

Hang in there and just try to relax and remain positive! A happy mommy is a happy baby! Chat Icon

Yes. I am always nervous. I hate to say it but the fear never fully goes away. I worry until each appointment and then when each milestone is passed I feel a little bit better. But it's hard. I'm still really nervous and I'm 20 weeks.

Re: anyone early on(1st tri) and always nervous?

omg.....sooooo common! the first trimester is the worst in my opinion. and not for nothing it never really lets up, it didn't for me anyway. i'm 28 weeks and i still check the toilet paper for blood or if i don't feel her kick i get all paranoid...

you are definitely not alone in being nervous, just think of it like this, you're growing a person and you want to do a good job it's a pretty nerve racking task, but the end result is obviously amazing!

hang in there!

Re: anyone early on(1st tri) and always nervous?

YES! I've been struggling with this so much. I feel like I've been forcing myself to not get excited or expect much because of my fear of something happening. I thought I would feel better when I saw the baby, but I didn't. Then I thought seeing the heartbeat would make me feel better. We saw AND heard it and I am still scared of something happening. Now I'm hoping that once I hit the 2nd trimester and it's out in the open I'll finally be able to enjoy being PG.

Feeling nauseous makes me feel better somehow.Chat Icon Now we see the baby every week at the RE. I don't know how I'm going to deal with not seeing the baby often once I graduate to the OB.

Yes! I'm quite a bit nervous, but I have to say I blame the internet for it. I would never have known about all the scary things if I didn't go online. Chat Icon

Re: anyone early on(1st tri) and always nervous?

Yes I was a wreck during my first tri!! It's totally normal.

I wish I could tell you the nerves go away, and they do to some extent, but you're going to worry about lots of things your whole pregnancy.

For example, 2 weeks ago when DS decided to do a random cannonball in my stomach out of nowhere Chat Icon he didn't move for HOURS after that. I was so freaked out I woke up DH to ask him if he thought the baby was ok or did he choke himself Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

SO- bottom line is that pregnancy worries will prepare you for all the worries that parenthood brings as well Chat Icon

I was a total nervous mess for the first trimester. It eased up a tiny bit in the 2nd trimester, but I still worry about things I can't control. Honestly, I think after my level 2 I took the first deep breath in months. I think I am a tiny bit more relaxed now. I should tell you though that I am a nervous/worrier by nature. I always find something to worry about.

Re: anyone early on(1st tri) and always nervous?

I had a missed miscarriage my first pregnancy so I am really scared this time. I have my first appointment on Monday and I am mentally preparing for bad news because I don't want to get my hopes up. I don't have any symptoms except a weird stretchy feeling from time to time so I am nervous. So you are not alone! Good luck!

ALL THE TIME!!! Whether if I'm driving, at work, at home, shopping or wherever, I would be touching my boobs all the time to see if they are still sore. When I get cramps I get nervous that something is wrong and when I don't get cramps, I get nervous as well.
I'm definitely there with you!

oh my god i am so nervous all the time. for me, the internet is definitely to blame. i read sad and scary stories and then i wonder what the heck is going on inside me and is the little peanut ok. i keep trying to remind myself to let go of the worry bc there is nothing i can do about it anyway.

Re: anyone early on(1st tri) and always nervous?

I've gotten so crazy with all my worries that I've made Dh go nuts. He tells me he is constantly worried, always reading up on things. Poor guys is almost never frazzled, I'm the crazy one.
But yes nerves none stop. I check the toilet and paper everytime I go, I get scared if I'm not nauseas, if I'm too nauseas, cramps, exhaustion...if I'm able to stay up past 10pm I think something is wrong.
As crazy as all of this is, I'm glad to have a place to turn to with my crazy thoughts.

very nervous! Especially after hearing and reading all the sad stories other women have experienced. My heart just breaks for them and I know these things are not uncommon so it is scary. I just have to keep thinking that it is in Gods hands at this point and there is nothing I can do but wait.

Re: anyone early on(1st tri) and always nervous?

I'll be 14 weeks tomorrow and I feel so much better than I did while waiting to be past 12 weeks. That's when we told our families and then I was worried that everybody knew and wondered if it was ok. My husband tells me not to worry. I am finally getting excited but then I worry that I am getting too happy and I start to worry again! And I still check the tp every time since we found out. I think I will be for the next 5 1/2 months!
