anyone else feel this way? gender related

At my 20 week sono the tech seemed pretty confident that the baby is a Chat Icon. I am happy about having another girl and giving DD a little sister.

However i thought i was having a boy. All the old wives tales pointed to boy, intelligender, necklace test etc... (i know these are not accurate)

for some reason i feel like i am going to still have a boy. I feel like at the next sono which isn't until 30+ weeks that they are going to tell me it's a boy. It's just this weird feeling and everytime i buy something for the new baby i have been making sure i save the receipt because i feel like it might change.

any one else feel this way?
is there a possibility it could change?
i would be happy either wayChat Icon

I think that at 20w if the tech said girl it is a girl. I think at 20w it's hard to mistake not only the penis but the scrotum becomes obvious.

I think it's normal to think about having a certain sex even though ultimately we all just want healthy babies. I know in my DH's fam everyone was so desperate for me to have a son that I felt a little pressure (even though I know it has nothing to do with me, lol).

I do know what you mean about the feeling though. All of those tests said girl for me but I felt like it was a boy and it was. But honestly I don't put too much stock in my "feelings". I always think I should run off the plane b/c I envision a crash, lol, but it never does...

I was in the exact same boat as you are and since my DD was not cooperating I had to go three times to get all the measurements for my level II. And yes all three times I asked the tech to check the gender, LOL. It never changed, still a girl so I feel confident in buying some pretty pink things. Chat Icon

Yes, I feel the exact same way (but the opposite gender) Tech said at my 20 week scan that it is a boy but all along I felt it was a girl. I have put off buying anything for the nursery yet because I keep feeling that at my next sonogram (on the 19th) she is going to tell me it's a girl.
