Thank you everyone for the advice! I just budgeted and I think I can work this out before the baby comes. How are you guys cutting back with the cable?? I have the lowest plan with no HBO or extras, landline and basic internet and we are paying $190 a month. (Verizon) We can't cut it down anymore except to get rid of DVR but I need that having a DC lol our cell package is around $160 which is for 2 phones and data adequate for minimal use. Everything is just so damn expensive these days! We are not big spenders at all. I don't know how people do it these days with all the bells and whistles!
We're about to get rid of two boxes in our home because we bought Roku's and have Netflix and Amazon Prime - definately look into this as an option. I love our Roku.
What is Roku?? We have netflix and love it! What do you use Amazon prime for?
For about 2 years we had the basic 13 channels (plus music and other useless stuff) for $13 a month. Our total bill with phone and internet was still just over $100. We had one box and then we have the roku in our bedroom for netflix. We eventually decided to cut out the cable and phone completely but they finally offered us a good deal on basic cable so we pay $106 (one box, no dvr). There is never a shortage of things for DD to watch between cable, netflix, and dvds.

Anyone else freaking out about finances?
Yes, me too!!! Figured out a budget today and its scary lol. DH and I make almost the same amount so its half of the total income we will be losing. I want to take an extra couple weeks off since it will be around Thanksgiving, and Im trying to figure out how. This opportunity only comes a few times in your life to be home with your babies. I was able to defer student loans, and car loan, which helped a lot! Then there wont be day care so saving money there while Im out. Hope it all works out!

Anyone else freaking out about finances?
DH is, but that's just who he is. I'm a teacher and I'm going back in September, so no loss of income. And we have family watching dd 3-4 days a week, so I can't see us spending more than 4-500 a month on child care.
I think it's natural to worry though

Anyone else freaking out about finances?
DH will be the one working PT / not at all once the twins come. My job carries our benefits, so it made more sense. He's been home a couple of months now to help while I am on bed rest and it's been working out.
Luckily, I am paid for my entire leave, so we're making it work.

Anyone else freaking out about finances?
We did away with cable about a year and a half ago. We just gave the basic channels. We primarily use netflix through our chrome cast.
