I hate those kind of pics also...never liked them. I suppose it just depends on the person, but I never understood why it's funny...but I know a lot of people think the pics are so cute.

I'll try and do a Santa pic with my child when the time comes, but if they don't like it, then I won't force it and have them cry so everyone else can laugh.

yeah, I don't find it funny at all. my DS hates santa, so we don't take him. why scare them, it's so unnecessary and kind of selfish

For me its part of growing up - to laugh or cry as a child on santa's lap. In the long run, I think the child will laugh about it when looking back and it will create funny memories to share.
