Anyone else have short cycles?/I am out again after 5 cycles.

Mine vary 24/25 days....I have not had much luck with OPKs. Do you think BDing every other day from CD7 - 18 should cover it?

I just cant do this anymore. Pregnant ladies and babies are everywhere. I want this more than anything in the world and this month, we are determined to make it happen!

my cycle is the same length as yours. So you've never sucessfully gotten an OPK+?

Do you think you could O late (CD15 or later)? If your leutal phase is under 10 days, AF may arrive before implantation. I've read on other posts that if you take a complete B complex vitamin, you can lengthen the leutal phase a day or 2.... there are also progesterone creams that also lengthen the leutal phase.

I was worried about that, but my leutal phase ended up being exactly 10, and I felt implantation on 9DPO... just in the nick of time.

that month that you got OPK+, did you happen to notice when you got EWCM? (I got it 2 days prior to OPK+) That would be your warning that you're about to O....

Wait for EWCM and BD as often as you can for about 5 days. I read that it takes 1.5 days for DH's system to prep the next set of swimmers, so if you could do it every day and a half, that would be perfect

Also, don't stand up too soon afterwards. Chill in bed for at least 30 min.

other than the OPK, the other thing I credit for getting my BFP is preseed. If you ever experience dryness, it may help the swimmers get to their destination

If you have a short LP, talk to your OB/GYN about getting a progesterone cream to increase it.

Also, I've read that taking Omega3-6-9 supplements can help bring on O earlier, which would then extend your LP as well.

Oh I am sure to stay in bed for quite a while after and we don't really need the preseed for dryness.

So you really think that it can happen just waiting for EWCM and ditching the OPKs?
I am just looking at my chart and I had EWCM on CD 12 and 13 and then the light lines on the OPK were days 14, 15, and 16. We BD on CD 11, 13, and 15. I guess it just was not enough BDing???

could it be that you were drinking too much fluids for the OPK, and that's how you missed the surge? Or you O'ed on the 17th or something, since the OPK+ is 24-48 hours prior to O? I don't know....

EWCM is supposed to be a semi-reliable predictor, occurring roughly 3-5 days prior to O. So, if you get EWCM and then start your marathon for several days, you should be fine... maybe go a week starting that day to cover your bases?

every 2 days should be fine. many people are sucessful that way. Every day may be too much (it wiped us out!)
If you want to be super-agressive, I say go a week BD'ing every 1.5 days

I am just torn on using the CM thing or strictly going the every other day 8-18 thing??? My cycles are so short...it stinks! I think we will try the EWCM route this time.
