Re: Anyone else NOT buying baby furniture?
Rachee, I love your crib.
Question about the stokke- at waht age can kids start to sit in that? I looks more like a toddler chair.

The stokke chair does come with cushions so you can use it when your baby can sit up, but to be honest, you will probably use a bouncy chair in the beginning. I freaking love my chair. I sold my highchair (which was also gorgeous) on ebay because I hated cleaning it. I will post some pics. My nursery is kind of a mish mash of stuff, when he moves into a big boy bed we will do more stuff....here are some pics of my boys room. Thats the old highchair...it was gorgeous, but hard to clean And here is the boy that goes in the room! All gorgeous!

Re: Anyone else NOT buying baby furniture?
Not PG yet, but it was suggested to me by more than one person in my family to buy a crib that matches adult furniture. If you are limited in space, then baby furniture makes sense. But if you are not and you are looking to save money by holding on to furniture for a while, this may be your best bet. Not to mention that as kids grow, they need more clothes and their clothes take up more space. The room I plan on using for a nursery is large enough for adult furniture.

Re: Anyone else NOT buying baby furniture?
we are buying a plain crib and then painting a small dresser we have to use as a changing table. i hate baby furniture. we are going to spend the money on fun decorations for the room instead, like babar posters. my friend has the klick klack and it is awesome!

Re: Anyone else NOT buying baby furniture?
OK update: I never checked ont hat dresser, I'm such a tool. I should email him today and see if it's still available. Nowhere to put it yet, still arguing over which room to use as the nursery. I did choose bedding, which is, against all my previous decisions, matchy matchy. And the rocker I got is guess what- overstuffed. But the sale price was unbeatable. I found a beautiful one that was more contemporary, but waaay less comfy, so I just went for it. Here's the bedding: I would like ot incorporate the color orange on the walls somewhere- maybe painted starbursts... Image Attachment(s):

Re: Anyone else NOT buying baby furniture?
Where did you get the rocker? Any pictures?
I don't think the set is so matchy matchy, I like it.

Love the bedding - it's one of the sets I bookmarked. I don't think it's matchy-matchy...
Any rocker pics?

I LOVE the bedding!
I think I might have gone in that direction if we were having a boy, and I'm not even a big fan of contemporary decor. I just love argyle and stripes.

theeeenx BRU. There was a beautiful white chair with a tufted back- less squishy, but really lovely style. It wa smarked down to $180!
I loved the price, but the back wasn't high enough for me to rest my head- it fit my mom's 5' frame nicely though.
