Anyone ever have to do CIO with their older toddler-like 2.5 yr old?

i did CIO with DD when she was a baby-has been a terrific sleeper ever since. even when her baby brother was born she didn't revert and still slept great through all the wake-ups etc.
now she is getting up and i think i need to do CIO b/c she is too old for me to have to go in there night after night after night...
anyone have to do this? did it work. should i do it before her waking becomes manipulative? between her and my 6 month old i may never sleep again!

Nope I did it. Its harder than when they are younger bc they can talk and call your name but it works

thank you.....i did it last night actually and felt worse than when she was a small baby b.c yup, she kept saying mommy
