Need some advice - toddler & older in daycare
Lucas transitioned to a new room 2 weeks ago - loves it - but that placed him in a new breakfast room and he hates it. Every morning is a battle with him screaming and clinging on to me
One teacher tends to come to my rescue the most and take him but I know it still takes her a while to calm him down (she's not always in that room). The other teacher does not help and Lucas has told me he does not like her because she is "sad" So I am at a loss...part of me thinks he is manipulating the fact that I do try to settle him in and will stay with him since no one else will.
Do I just leave him there screaming and kicking? I tried to talk to the admininstrative staff but haven't heard back.

DS does this sometimes. Usually another teacher will come to my rescue. If not, then I take things upon myself and give him a book or a toy to play with to distract him.
is there anything he likes there that you should try to give him?
Its so hard with these kids--esp when they verbalize. It actually sounds like the new lady needs to be more accomodating!!!
