Anyone ever use vaseline on infant's dry scalp?
If so, how long does it take to wash out? Did it help?

I've used baby oil also. I'd try that first. Less mess than vaseline.

With my 7 week old, I just tried baby oil, then shampooing, then combing his hair. It worked pretty well, most of the dry flakes are gone.

If it is cradle cap then I would use Gentle Naturals Cradle Cap. You put it on 5 minutes before bath and let it sit for a little then with a fine tooth comb (I liked the one the hospital gave me) and comb it out. It washes right out with the shampoo.
If your DC just has dry scalp I would warm some oil olive and let it sit on their scalp for maybe 10-20 minutes.

my doc recomeded dandruff shampo, which did work, but i was so nervous about her eyes!
