Infant Dry Scalp
What do you ladies recommend I use on my DS's scalp? He has dry skin and we have been using the aveeno baby frangrance-free sensetive skin body wash & lotion (as recommended by my peditrician since the Johnson & Johnson gave DS a slight rash). Is it cool to use the lotion on his scalp? He doesn't have too much hair there anyway. Thanks

Re: Infant Dry Scalp
Does he have cradle cap (looks like dandruff?). If he does then the lotion may not be enough. My DD had cradle cap and I took olive oil and massaged it into her scalp, left it in 10 minutes and brushed all the dry skin off. Then I washed her hair (it was a little oily after so you can wash twice if need be). The olive oil worked better for me than the baby oil.

thanks, I think its more dry scalp as he has it right by his hairline as well. I might try the olive oil. I used baby oil last week and it worked too. I just was looking for other idea. Grrr, and he just got a bath last night. Oh well, I'll try the olive oil too. Thanks!!

One of the nurses in my Pediatricians office suggested Vaseline. It worked great for DS. All the dry scalp was gone within 2 - 3 days and he never had it since.
