Anyone get a scratch on iPad screen?
Just noticed a pretty good scratch on my iPad 2 screen.  Haven't found the best answer online but has anyone had it replaced? Is it covered? If not, how much was the repair?

Ours has a huge crack. Screen is not covered. Not sure how much the ipad screen is to replace, but the iphone is $200, so I'm assuming the ipad is more since its bigger.
DH had an iphone and the apple care warranty, and the screen shattered. It w asn't covered, we were really pizzed.

A few weeks ago DD dropped the iPad on a tile floor and it got a nice long crack in the screen. I read on an iPad forum that they will give you a one time courtesy replacement. So I went to the apple store and they took a look at my iPad and said they would replace it for free that one time. They ended up having to order me a new one, but when it came in I brought back the old one and they gave me the new one. The same thing happened to my friend 2 weeks later and they gave her a new one too.

Well that's good to know because we were bummed that we had the care for he phone but not the iPad. I'd does say the screen is scratch resistant and does not need a protector. And this is a catch nd not a crack. It's in the corner so not much of a pain but I'll try to get it replaced for free!
