Anyone have a Living Room/Dining Room Combo area?
Looking for pics and ideas on how a living room & dining room would be set up when it is 1 big shared room?
We are taking down the wall that is currently in between. Anyone have this kind of setup?
thanks

I guess it depends on your layoutfloor plan.
I don't. But, my neighbor does and her living room couch basically acts as a divider of the two rooms.

We left the wall partially up to divide the rooms. I don't have any pics on here though. I wanted a little extra wall space in each room

We have a high ranch where the LR Dr are open to eachother, we don't really do anything to seperate the rooms just have the appropriate furniture

We have this and our dining room table is set up under the light fixture and we have a sectional couch next to it so the one end of the sectional couch kinda divides the room, if that makes sense. I'll try to take some new pics tonight of the whole area, I realized I don't have any of the whole set up but here is one of the DR and you can see the sectional to the right...

That's how I set it up to divide my LR and DR except I have my loveseat as the divider. I don't have pix yet since I am redoing most of the house. Will post pix when finished.

Same--and the DR table is under a hanging light fixture.
ETA: oops meant to quote: We have a high ranch where the LR Dr are open to eachother, we don't really do anything to seperate the rooms just have the appropriate furniture

Re: Anyone have a Living Room/Dining Room Combo area?
that is my living-dining room combo
in hindsight i may have ordered my sectional in the reverse option so that the short piece went along my sliders (instead of diving the room) and then i would have been able to put two arm chairs facing outside. i would lose some view to the outside with the couch blocking the windows but i would have gained 2 seats...
oh well
