Anyone have a wood burning stove?
We have one in our den and dc will be crawling anyday. My dh thinks as long as we put a gates around it then it's ok. I am to nervous.
Also, I can't seem to find round hearth cushions to protect him. They all seem to be for fireplaces. Anyone have one?

I have one - but we don't use it at all. DH is afraid of it I just tied it closed and DS doesn't really bother with it, except to sit on it

we have one, and we still use it. DD is crawling and starting to walk. the was ours is set up its in the corner of my den. We bought the supergate and only used a few of the pieces to block it off from DD getting to it. The pieces aren't free standing, they are wedged between the couch and a recliner. I hope I'm explaining it correctly to you. If you want I could take a pic tonight and show you.

Thanks we don't have anything near it to wedge it too. They do sell a gate for it but it's like $180 and unless we are still going to use it a lot I dont want to spend the $$. So your gate dosent gate super hot?

No, and its the plastic type so it doesn't hold the heat in like the metal ones. Did you try checking on craigslist to try and find a used one? At this point, since winter is almost over, or at least I'm hoping it is, I wouldn't spend that kind of money either.
