anyone have plantar faciitis?
just another thing to add to my list of ailments sighhh
i went to the podiatrist today bc i just could not handle my foot pain anymore. he took xrays and did an exam. apparetly i have flat feet and heel spurs and he said the pain is plantar faciitis. i dont have heel pain though..its like in the arch to the toes.
i work on my feet alllllllllllllllllllll day and am not allowed to wear tennis shoes/sneakers so what the heck can i do?
doc did a cortisone shot and gave me a boot thing to wear at night and next week maybe more shots and get fitted for orthotics.
at least i know why i am in such pain..but honestly dont know how i am going to be able to work like i do...and go to the gym also. yesterday i tried to do the bike at the gym and even that was unbearable. sigh
anyone deal with this and what did or are you doing for this? tyyy

YES!!!!!!! It sucks...The shots did nothing but cause more pain. The boot at night helped a bit. The orthotics helped a bit. Go and get a really supportive shoe for work. Something with good arch support. You may have to pay more, but it should help...Lay off the gym for a bit. It will only make it worse...It should start to feel better in a few weeks....

Yes! I had heel spur on one foot and plantar facitis on the other last year. It was awful. My pain was on the ball of my foot though. The shot did nothing but hurt more AND the dr. that did it gave me frost bite on my foot by spraying this cold numbing stuff on me.  I got fitted for orthodics which honestly did nothing for me either.
I ordered a pair of Orthaheel flip flops and OMG! What a difference. I felt like a new person. I ordered 3 pairs and wore them all summer. They have a lot of arch support. AT first I hated them but after a few days they were perfect because my foot got used to them. My feet are fine now! They only have sandals and sneakers I think but I'd def recommend you check them out.

The orthotics helped me. I basically have 2 pairs of shoes. 1 black shoe from Payless for work (wide width so orthotics fit) and a wide pair of New Balance sneakers.
Slipper and Sandals I get the Orthoheel.
I buy all my Orthoheel from soleprovisionsshop.com They're local so shipping is fast (free) and they are easy to deal with on returns.

They also do have boot type shoes, and you can buy the 'footbed' insert from footsmart.com and put them in regular shoes.

yups for me the pain is in the arch and toes..nto really the heel which i dont get but ohhh well..
orthoheel...hmm gonna have to look into that site!!!!

Try footsmart.com. They have different sections for foot ailments - maybe under the plantar facitis section you can find something that is your size.

I have had it for awhile now. I really havent done anything to help it.
I still excercise (running makes it so worse), i walk around bear foot ( which is a no no) so basically I am probably just making it worse.
I know there are excerises they suggest to help. Oh and ice...you can fill dixie cups up with ice and then peel layers off and you roll it under your heel/arch.

Yes, I do.. I saw a podiatrist but he didn't really help me.. I made an appt with an Orthopedic, which a friend of mine recommended bcs she had plantar fascilitis also.
I've had this pain for about 3 months or so, mainly on my heel, I hate this...

just checked again, its because I was looking at the clearance items. sorry.

I've returned from SoleProvisions before, it was very quick and painless.
I have the South Beach
I have the Kiwi
But around the house I wear the granny slippers - they are not good looking but VERY comfy since they are padded and fluffy.
I had these, but returned them. They weren't comfy with the straps.

I have and love the Tide flip flop and the South Beach and I recently ordered the Lori- haven't received them yet.
