Anyone have problems with TV freezing when you have a DVR/HD box?
We just got it last Friday and it keeps freezing on us. DH is getting frustrated and is ready to just return it and forget about it. They said they'd send a tech out but DH doesn't think it's worth it.
Anyone have this prob?

Hey Tara!
That *****! Wish I had some advice but I dont I'd let the tech come and deal with it. I understand his frustration but it's better then not having a DVR at all (like we don't!).
Does anyone else have any real advice!?

define freeze...
your watching live tv and it freezes and you miss a couple seconds of a show?
when you record something, it doesn't record the whole thing?
Do you have any signal problems? Maybe cable is tight...How many splits is going off until it reaches this box?
Does this happen on HD shows or SD shows?
DVR box is basically a harddrive running all the time...they go bad. I had to exchange my dvr box after a year of moderate use. You may want to exchange it and give that a shot.

The picture on the tv freezes anytime while watching tv- not even during recording. The picture freezes for a few seconds and we hear a click from the box. It's so bizarre and frustrating. Especially during sporting events!

We had this problem and they sent someone out who was able to do something to correct the problem. Had something to do with the signal and something with the box. Big help I am, right?
