Anyone have success with Castor Oil?

This is my last ditch effort before either a C-section or induction. Did it work for you or anyone you know? Please describe the experience with it.

i definitely wouldn't do it!! it's an oil and oil gives you diarrhea.. i've heard of some horror stories of women um squirting on their doctors when pushing. it's not worth it to me. i've heard of primrose but i would ask your dr first. my dr said absolutely not! just try doing it like every day all day haha

castor oil gives you diarrhea which causes dehydration which then may cause contractions.

Sex could work semen has a hormone which could get you going

Evening primose oil could help

if you are dilated you can ask your provider to strip your membranes

All the caster oil did for me was cause dehydration, which caused false labor. Just more of a pain than anything else.

My doc also said not to use it.

My doc said dont do it.

I did lots of "curb walking" , taking walks, stairs, raspberry leaf hot tea, pineapple and sex. DS was 5 days early, so I dont know if it all worked or was just coincidence.

I did it. I drank 1/4 cup. I had diarrhea ALL DAY and they induced me two days later anyway.
