anyone have the Safety First Complete Air Convertible car seat
they are on sale at Target for $149. I actually like it and the price is great, so I am waiting for it to suck
if you have it, please tell me it's good
the only one I liked was the Britax $300 plus Boulevard (I think, all I remember is seeing stars when I saw the price )
so yeah, I'd love for this one to be good, but really want to know it's Safe for Luce.

i want to say car seat safety guy posted about it. do a search on either his name (carseatsafety) or the safety first name. i believe he said it was the first 'safety first' car-seat he has EVER recommended...

Re: anyone have the Safety First Complete Air Convertible car seat
I've don't have it but I've played with it a few times.... it's a really nice seat.
I haven't heard anyone complain that has it on other forums, just the opposite, they seem to really like it. Here's a good review of it http://carseatblog.com/?p=4038
Did you look at the MyRide too?? That's about the same price.
Try Luce out in the seats and see which one you like the best as far as getting him in and out, which he seems most comfy in etc.
As for safety? All seats have to pass the same tests, price doesn't dictate safety, proper usage of the seat every time does
The "best" seat is the one that fits your child, your vehicle and your wallet

Really, you can try the seats in the store? Do you ask permission to bring them down? Are they hard to get down? I remember not being able to unlock them at BRU.

Yep. BRU and BBB I've done it. Taken it down, used their test bench to try to install it. Put baby in. Take baby out. BRU usually will allow you to try the display model in your car as well to make sure it fits.
I've done it at walmart and target too but sometimes they're bolted down so it's tough.

Re: anyone have the Safety First Complete Air Convertible car seat
i was a fan of this until the store person pointed out the face protection at the top are so big, it won't allow your DC to see left or right out the window (to an extent)
Those cushions are big....
Instead, i went with safety first. I would look at those as a great alternative to Britax as they are expensive and provide the same features as other less expensive car seats
and yes, but your kid in the car seat...find a area that is flat, level and try it out.

Re: anyone have the Safety First Complete Air Convertible car seat
I looked into it, but didn't go with it. The reviews I read were mostly good but a lot said it was hard to install and the seat was huge and hardly fit in the back of SUV's rear-facing. It seemed like those side panels by the head would be annoying for DD too, she likes to look out the windows.
I LOVE the britax roundabout that we have in DH's car. It was easy to install, the harness is so smooth when tightening or loosening to get her out and DD never complains when she's in it. We have the graco myride65 for my car and I really like that one too but i'd recommend the britax! We got it for $199 in bbbaby and today I saw that Target has one pattern for $139.

Re: anyone have the Safety First Complete Air Convertible car seat
My mom has this carseat in her Jeep Cherokee and it fits very well, DD is comfy in it. I have a Britax and I think it's a little more comfy and easy to maneuver DD into and out of than the Safety First.
