Anyone have their kids do any Fun Runs?

Since Cailen seems to have inherited DH's running gene (and overall active/athletic genes from the both of us) he has shown us how much he loves to run.

When we go hiking, it is essentially a trail run and he and DH run together and he does an amazing job (you can see his gorgeous form in the September Blue pic of him running that everyone loved)

We decided to sign him up for the Turkey Trot fun Run - it is a 1K run. We really think he is capable of doing it (just getting through it - not breaking any records in the 2.5 year old category )

Anyone else have their kids involved in races? I remember someone posting pics of their little ones in a race last year I believe - if so, would love to hear your experiences, any suggestions, etc....

Obviously we will be doing it with him (before doing our own run - his sisters will watch him in the building after his run is over) and we are not expecting him to run the entire time or anything like that - we just want to expose him to the experience....
