Anyone have their makeup done at MAC for an event?
I just made an appt. to have my makeup done their before an event. I have never used them for this before, only purchased products. I don't normally wear too much m/u so I'm wondering if this was a good idea.

Anyone have their makeup done at MAC for an event?
I've done it. Like you I don't wear a lot of makeup. I told them that and they did a great job. I only bought the lipstick and lip liner.

Always. They do a great job. I just tell them I like a neutral look and not heavy and they do a great job.

I went there YEARS ago, probably 12 years ago, I had my make up done before a concert. It must have been right after the store in Roosevelt Field opened. I'm sure they'll follow whatever you ask them to do.

i go A LOT. 50 times a year? never had an issue.. once, the foundation was way too dark but i still looked fly in pics.
which location are you going to?

I did. They told me I had to buy $50 worth of product because it was considered a "makeover".
Don't go to the one in Walt Whitman....the woman who did my makeup kept stopping to help customers and I was sitting there with half a face of makeup for a while....I was there for over 1.5 hrs.

sometimes that happens. they get extremely busy. you're going to a make up COUNTER, you didnt hire a make up artist.kwim?

This is good to know! I have the first appointment of the day so hopefully it won't be too crowded. I only have about an hour.
I love the smokey eye but I was warned by several others who have gone there to NOT tell them that, that they go nuts on the eyes if you tell them smokey. I want to look good but not like I'm in drag

"Smokey eye. Not dramatic. I trust u" is what I tell them. U put them at ease and they know you don't want to look like a drag queen. Good luck!

I've gone for almost every event I've ever gone to-I even had my wedding makeup done there. I like the one at Nordstrom in Roosevelt field
