anyone know a person who watches dogs in their home (not your own home)
I'm having a baby in September. Last week I found out that I may need to have a heart procedure 8 weeks following giving birth. My husband will be taking care of me and my parents/siblings will be taking care of the baby. I really have no one left to take care of Maggie and I'm not sure what shape I will be in and how long my DH will be out of theh ouse with me. I have a dog walker but I'd rather her not be alone all day and just going out for a few walks. AANy of my friends willing to take her live in apartments in the city and I'm not sure that would make Maggie very happy.
I was looking for someone who watches dogs in their own home (ie we bring Maggie to the person and she stays with them for a few days). Preferably someone who stays home most of the day, has a yard, and is willing to give her lots of affection. She gets along well with dogs, not sure about cats since she's never been around them.

My mom dog sits and the woman brings the dog to the house. What kind of dog is it- I can ask my mom if she can do it.
She also watched my son during the day- he is 6 months.

Where are you located? I have a rec, but depend on Nassau or Suffolk and what size the dog is.

we're in nassau in E. Williston. Maggie is a 61 pound golden/poodle mix.
