Anyone notice a $5 increase on their Optimum bill this month
It looks like my Internet service went up to 49.95 from 44.95. Did this happen to anyone else? I don't remember them sending me a notice about it.

Anyone notice a $5 increase on their Optimim bill this month
I get online statements and when I logged on to my optimum account to look at my bill last month, there was a notice before I was able to access the bill.

I get online statements and when I logged on to my optimum account to look at my bill last month, there was a notice before I was able to access the bill.
I have online bills too, but that notice never came through. Ugh! Like they don't already charge enough!

Really? That's so strange. Up until I got this months bill, whenever I logged in and went to click on last month's bill, a page appeared saying something about read this information before you continue and I had to click a link to get the notice. Once I opened the link, I was able to access my bill. I guess if you don't open the bill and just pay it, you wouldn't get that notice.

Yup and it's really shit-ty internet too. I hate paying $30 for it (triple play). I can't imagine paying $50.

Several months back we went up $15 from a year ago for the triple play.
It's sad that for basic cable (I have no premium channels), internet and a phone we barely use, I am paying over $155 a month.
At the same time though, we rarely go out or anything so this is our "entertainment".

we also pay $10 for the boost, still slow sometimes..
maybe they are increasing to make up for the storm credit.

Yeah when I went to pay my bill last month I had to "click to view important information about your service" first. I actually read it this time, lol, and we called and changed our package as a result. It had been $$$$ anyway for the triple play and we had WAY too many channels that we didn't watch. The $5 increase actually pushed me over the edge and we called.

Mine is $130 w/ Showtime + On Demand, Starz + On Demand, Encore + On Demand. Our triple play ended in November but DH called and they gave it to us for a little bit more for another year.

They only seem to keep it at the lower price for a year or two.
I need to call up and try to bargain with them again.
We were told the recent increase was related to our multiple boxes.

I'd call and see what they can do because when our year was up and they started to charge us for the premium channels, DH called to cancel them and he was told that if we canceled them, our bill wouldn't change at all but they were running a deal that would give us back the channels for free and we would end up paying $50 less than what the bill went up to. So we were paying like $95 for triple play, bill went up after a year to $180, and now we pay $130. Still $35 more than originally but that's better than $85 more.

We have Time Warner, but the $5 increase on our bill caused my DH to cancel cable altogether. I am not a big TV person so it is not a huge deal. The cable companies are so greedy!

I did call and they said that the promotion was over and basically weren't going to do anything to make me keep them. I didn't push the issue as I really didn't care. If I did want them and the DVR, I would have fought for them lol.

If you can, just switch to Verizon...It really is worth the switch. I go back and fourth, whoever will give me the best rate,But I do have to say, Fios is a little better, Just seems more up to date, and in the 21st century. With Cablevision, I feel like It has not changed in years. But again, it is all about the price for me.

Fios has more taxes though. I think I was paying almost $20 more in taxes with them. I also missed Channel 12 so I would not go back.
