Re: anyone on blood pressure medication now?
I was on BP meds before this pregnancy. I had to transition to meds that were safe for pregnancy. I am on Aldomet & Procardia - both are safe for pregnancy. My BP readings were in your range. I am doing well on these meds. I also self-monitor at home and email my high risk dr. with my readings. HTH.

Re: anyone on blood pressure medication now?
When I was about 12-13 weeks my BP went from normal (120/80) to like 150/90. He waited a week to see if it was just an off week and the next week was up to 160/90. So I was sent to a cardiologist who put me on Lobatalol 100mg 2x day. That dose was good until about 28 weeks, then had to up it to 3x a day. By the end of the pregnancy I was on 200mg 3x day. Even though my dumb azz doc said it was chronic hypertension (never had an issue before being pregnant) the hi-risk felt is was pregnancy induced. Once I had the baby it was back to normal on low dose of meds and I was off the meds and fine by 4 weeks pp. Did you find a new OB? If not you need to tell those nit-wits to take you BP manually, whether they like it or not. And if they give you a hard time, complain to the NP!
