I don't have experience with this personally but I'm wondering what makes you think your DC is having seizures at night?

If he/she is having seizures, have you seen a pediatric neurologist?

He's doing good, just turned three months. Your DD is a month older then him right? How's it going?

My DD had a febrile seizure when she was 7 months. It was horrible to watch. She was lethargic, had tremors, her eyes weren't 'connecting' with mine, foaming at the mouth.

I was terrified. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital and was in and out for over a week bc they couldn't figure out what caused it. (They thought she had meningitis at first and did a spinal tap and all... luckily it was negative.)

It was caused by a fever(due to bilateral kidney infections) that spiked to 104 in the middle of the night. She had gone to bed with no symptoms at all. I heard a weird noise on the monitor and went in to check on her and saw her shaking and laying weird. These seizures are not as serious as other types, but not fun.

She has had one more since then but now that I know what to look for and what to do, it's not as horrifying once you are prepared. Just stay calm. The only thing that kept me calm enough to deal with it the 2nd time (bc the 1st time I was a disaster, all my medical training went out the window and luckily 911 was on speed dial bc I really couldn't even think straight enough to dial) was knowing that she was counting on me to get her through it and then she would be fine.

I hope the neuro gives you as much info and advice that you need. Ask as many questions as you can... write them down and get your answers. Good luck and I hope all works out....
