Anyone put a chair rail in the nursery?

We are planning on doing this. How high is it supposed to be from the ground? Did you stain it to match the woodwork or your furniture??? TIA! Pics would be great!

we did, it's in my album..we painted it white...don't know how high we did it!!!

We have a chair rail in DD's room. It's painted white and it's 38" from the bottom

i have old nursery pics in my album but I dont think you can really see it. Plus that was all before it was completed

i think mine is 40 or 42 inches from the floor
if we did it at 36 it would have been right at the window sill and wouldnt look right

we did, but I think ours is low. Ours is 30" from the bottom but I wanted it to be less on the bottom. I don't have pics yet but we are doing chair rail white, bottom beige (hopefully w/ stripes) and blue on top.

We did, but a little different.

My DH got this suggestion from someone who was supposedly a designer and he went with it.

We put the molding high up like 8-10 inches or so away from the ceiling. We painted the walls a dustly pink and the celing a darker pink. We started the ceiling color on the wall above the molding. It sort of looks like a dropped celing. My DH thought it would be cool to hang pics along the wall where the celing started.

It came out OK. I will try to show you what I mean in these pics. The room isn't done yet. Sorry for the mess. You think iw ould get it together 34 weeks preganant and all!

I think chair rails are very nice. I see many people do pink and beige for a girl and blue and beige for a boy.

we did. ours is the same height as the top of the crib. we did it in white. the color of the walls are light brown (fudgiscle) on the bottom and the light pink (pink taffy) on top. our furniture is espresso.

We put up a chair rail and wainscotting. We have high ceilings so we put it 4ft from the floor. The wainscotting came in 8 ft planks so we cut them in half to 4 feet.
