anyone put rice cereal in formula for acid reflux

DD is 8 weeks, gi told me to give it a whirl, i am kinda nervous but she is projectile vomiting alot at night...anyone have any experience with this...

I started putting cereal in his formula as per the ped. when DS was 5 weeks old. He gets one teaspoon per ounce. He was projectile vomiting his bottles and once we added the cereal it completely stopped!!! Have you talked to your ped about it? My ped said he'd rather try the cereal than jump to put him on medication. Thankfully the cereal has been a success!

we did it for months....

we started *and stayed at* 1/2 tsp of cereal per ounce of formula.

so if she were taking a 4oz bottle, she was getting 2tsp of rice in her bottle.

Worked out so very well for her. the other thing that helped immensely with her sleeping was putting her on her tummy to sleep. anytime she was on her back.... she spit up through her nose and mouth together.
