It was great! I saw Lindsay, Erica, and Michele there. The course was super boring, and it was cold and rainy... but I still managed to PR by.... drumroll..... 10 minutes!! I am thrilled!!

Re: Anyone running the Suffolk Half March 25?
I finished and didn't come in last!
My feet look like they went through a war zone but I didn't think I did too bad considering how bad my training has been the past few weeks. Julie and Erica were so far ahead of me. Lol I was keeping pace with 2 very nice elderly gentlemen who had just run a 15k the day before.
I think my time was around 2:34 and change which was just shy of my goal of under 2:30. I'll take it!

Congrats on completing your first half marathon!!! Ready for another yet? Now, you know what to expect and you have a time to beat. It was so great to meet you there. I'm glad I wore my famous green shirt. I went out fast to break from the crowd and ended up just holding that pace the whole race. Once I started my shin did not hurt so I went for the PR. Don't feel bad about being behind us, it was your first time... and you DID IT!!!

Re: Anyone running the Suffolk Half March 25?
Congratulations Julz and Lindsay! You guys both did great! It was good to see you guys. Are we ready for May?
I totally broke my mental barrier running this, so I am happy. I went faster than I wanted to, but I feel good, so I'm not upset about it. At the finish line someone thanked me for pacing him...LOL...I guess I was pretty steady throughout?
I liked the course and want to do it for real next year. The only part I didn't like was going over 25 southbound. the uphill and boredom got to me a little.

I wanted to do both races to get the mileage in and my running club said I was crazy and looking for injury. I should have just done both!
