Anyone stay at the Atlantis resort (Bahamas) with an infant?

We are going in August and I'm starting to think aout what I will need to bring...
Do they have cribs/PNP that they rent out? We booked through a travel agent and she 'doesn't think so' Chat Icon. I really didn't want to have to lug his PNP there. TIA!

Re: Anyone stay at the Atlantis resort (Bahamas) with an infant?

We stayed there 2 years ago and BIL's son at the time was 6 months old. I don't think they had a crib for him, they just put him in the bed (the room had 2 queens size beds)

Your best bet would be to call Atlantis directly and ask them.

Which tower are you staying in? We were at the beach tower (cheapest but furthest from everything), my SIL had a stroller which was perfect for taking the baby everywhere since Atlantis is enormous.

Your DS is going to love the kiddie area with the pool, it's adorable and so big. We even went in it bc it was so much fun Chat Icon

I agree with the PP and think you should call the resort directly. We recently stayed at a place and when I emailed the place to ask them about cribs they replied back that it was 'first come, first serve' for the cribs, which clearly wasn't the best response since I needed to know if I needed to bring a PnP or not. I then called the resort directly and they said they had cribs available and already had one on hold for me since I had requested it during booking.

Have fun! Chat Icon

Thank you ladies!!

I will call the resort directly and ask. I guess I could always put him in the bed with us if I needed too... just don't want to start that!!

We are staying in the Beach Tower, too. Last time DH and I went there we stayed in the Royal Towers and it was amazing! Everything was right outside the doors... I think we got spoiled!! We walked over to the Beach Towers one night and it was a hike! I have to buy a cheap, lightweight umbrella stroller for DS who will be 8 months at the time.

We took dd's when they were 10 months old. They supplied us with two cribs, we called when booking the trip to reserve them.
Have a great vacation!!!

We went 2 years ago and they gave us a crib for free. They also had a welcome baby kit with a book, night light and some johnsons night time samples.

I wanted to add, ask for a room upgrade when you get there. When we went it people got upgraded, especially repeat guests.

Oh, yes! They must have stayed in the Marina area... they have timeshares and I believe little apartments to stay in.

Yes, they definitely have cribs! You should also request a refrigerator for formula, food, etc. Request it now, then call a day or so before checking in to confirm, then remind them when you are checking in. We stayed at the cove with dd last summer. It was our 2nd stay there and i will say the service wasnt nearly as good as it used to be. I had to call front desk numerous times before they brought up crib and fridge!

Re: Anyone stay at the Atlantis resort (Bahamas) with an infant?

We just returned today from a cruise and stopped at the Atlantis for 8 hours. My best advice, bring a backpack carrier or a front carrier to carry the baby. Working elevators are few and far between. It was extremely hot. The only indoor place to eat between 11:30-12 for lunch is no where near the water park. The lazy river (not the one with the rapids) is closed. They closed it the day we arrived. No one gave good directions.

The children's area is really fantastic - both in the water and as a "camp". They have great pools. There were many things wrong with our visit. I will write up a full review of our trip, but suffice it to say we ended up getting a full refund of our money from the Atlantis. While it did not ruin our total vacation, it came close. They owned up to their short comings. I think if it goes right, the Atlantis could be a wonderful vacation, but for those with guests that are wheel chair bound, they should think about a different vacation experience. Also bring walkie talkies.

We are going in November and that will be our 3rd time.

They gave full size cribs that are free if you need it. The mattress fits a regular crib sheet if you want to bring your own.

I suggest buying diapers, swim diapers and formula if you are FF at the supermarket there. It is a little mire expensive than here but well worth it in terms of packing an extra bag for that stuff.

I would definitely get an umbrella stroller because I believe the beach tower is the furthest from toddler pool area if you want to walk it. They fo have shuttles that take you to each tower. The last 2 times we stayed at the coral towers and that is attached To the royal so the walk isn't bad, maybe 10 minutes. I would see about switching to that tower if you can. If you forget something in the room it will be a hike.

Re: Anyone stay at the Atlantis resort (Bahamas) with an infant?

I just got back on the 9th and it was the best. I stayed at the coral towers and they brought up a crib. I use the mini bar's fridge to store his milk. I brought snacks they told me that I could get a fridge for 15 a day. I definitely would recommend a stroller and I bought a extra long sun shade for it and Ds would take his 1.5 hr naps in it. It took a day but we figured out where the ramps/elevators where.
