Anyone travel to Naples, Italy and/or fly on Air Lingus?
My brother and SIL are moving to Naples, Italy in a few weeks, and we are trying to plan a trip for next summer to see them. I was just playing around with flights and noticed that Air Lingus had a flight that was about 50% cheaper than the other flights I had seen. The catch is that you have a 26 hour layover in Dublin, Ireland on both trips.
Has anyone done this? I think it would be awesome to have a day in Dublin each way. Has anyone flown Air Lingus? How was it? We would be flying with a 4.5 year old, if that makes a difference!

Its fine in IMO.. the prices were worth it, so it really didn't matter. When you land in Dublin, you will have to go through immigration and customs.. they'll stamp your passport, and screen you hand luggage so the lines could be long by the security check, that is if you have a connecting flight the same day. Other than that there no issues.. I'm not big on plane food at all.. and they will serve you whatever meal when go to Ireland, but Ireland to Italy.. you won't even get water if you don't buy it. But again, its fine for the price, and I would do it again.
If you flight is not at night, you'll see the most beautiful greenery ever.. just lush, lush green.. amazing, truly the emerald isle

The flight is an overnight flight- leaves here in the early evening and lands the next morning, and I think the flight from Dublin to Naples leaves the next morning, so we'd have to stay over in Dublin 1 night, which I'm not opposed to all!

if you are going to do that I would space it out even more if you can!
what an awesome trip.
I have never flown aer lingus but I have been to Naples. it's beautiful, but extremely busy, and there are like NO sidewalks. just be uber careful with your dd. you can walk out of a store and get hit by a passing scooter or car. the people who live there are used to it, but for us tourists...you need to be quick on your feet!!!!
