I bought a strip that adheres to the crib rail and so far it has been great...Lucas avoids it all together now Chat Icon According to the directions...when I want to take it off I just use a hairdryer for the heat and the adhesive will release.

My railing is similar to yours and the strip covers the area closest to him....the rest of it is still exposed.

Whatever you do....don't buy the plastic pieces that go on the crib. My DD used to take them off and clack them together like they were sticks to play a drum.

we have that one...its called the gummi rail. WE hate it! It lifts off of the crib and pulled a lot of paint with it. The directions say if it lifts, just use the blow dryer to reset glue...nope, doesn't work. We have it on 2 cribs and bought 4 strips one for the fronts and we also put it on the sides of the crib. after close to 65 dollars on that stuff, I would say it is not the greatest product, but unfortunately, our only choice out there, as far as I know.

We used the Gummi ones. We had no problems with them. They didn't lift and when I was ready to take them off I used a hairdryer and they came right off.

was your crib painted or stained, that could be the difference

Re: anyone use a crib rail teether?

I use the Gummi Crib rail on DD's convertible cribs. It hasn't damaged the crib at all and DD ripped it off cause she kept picking at the corner of it. my crib has rounded rails though on the front and back, and rectangle ones on the sides.

IMO, the baby biting the crib does way more damage than a crib rail can EVER doChat Icon

the side of my dd's crib looks like a beaver got to itChat Icon

We have the Gummi crib rail teether and have not had any problems. We haven't taken it off yet, but it hasn't lifted at all.
