Anyone with this experience?

Hi girls, I'm sure some of you know my story from the TTC board, but to try to make a long story short.....2 weeks past ovulation had a temp drop and got what I thought to be my period, then temps starting rising again causing me to take a HPT which was positive. I am now 4 weeks past ovulation, which some say would be 6 weeks PG (don't understand that). Had a sono on Wednesday due to the bleeding that I experienced. Felt cramping all last week and then started to spot on Sunday night, which was mostly brown on Monday and Tuesday, then turned to red on Wednesday (this was the day of the sono where they saw nothing). Went for my first round of bloodwork yesterday and my HCG was 170 and progesterone was incredibly low at 1.9. In my heart I know what's happening to my body, but has anyone experienced these types of numbers who can give me some insight on what to expect next. The bleeding is more today, but no cramping, some pains though but nothing excruciating.

if you are miscarrying, your HCG would just drop. sometimes its quick and sometimes its not. make sure your doctor is monitoring it appropriately. when are you scheduled for more bloodwork? they should make sure it goes down to 0 or at least under 5. if it goes up and then goes down again it could be a sign of ectopic so they should be monitoring it pretty closely. usually once you bleed it drops pretty quick, but its different for everyone.

btw pregnancy is counted from day 1 of your cycle (which is confusing if you have long cycles or O late). so even though you dont O until about 2 weeks in, when you find out 2 weeks later, you are already about 4 weeks pregnant. that's just how it's counted. so if you are 4 weeks since ovulation, you are about 6 weeks pregnant.

Thank you! I go for more bloodwork tomorrow. I guess we will go from there. I'm terrified of ectopic.

Updated on the other board too but hcg dropped to 127 so I lost it. Have to go back for more bloodwork in a week and a sono the week after bleeding stops. Been a mess of emotions. I just hope it wasn't a hormone issue on my partChat Icon Guess I should wait a couple of cycles to try again?

I'm so sorry. Your dr will let you know when to try again. Some say physically you only have to wait one cycle.
