Anyone's DC twirl, twist and pull hair often? (& not out of fustration)
My dc started twirling his hari around 1 while drinking his bottle. We knew this soothed him. Now at age 3 he does this more but twirls it and then kind of pulls on it. Usually same spot. He will do this if he's bored, while watching tv sometimes, when trying to relax...I'm starting to get concerned because I dont' want it to be a bad habit. Will he grow out of this. I feel like I have to keep his hair buzzed short so he wont do this. Is this normal toddler behavior?

I wouldn't make a huge deal about it because it is soothing, however you don't want him to be doing it well into his 30's like someone i know (uh, me). Yes, this is normal behavior. I've seen many a baby do it. It's very soothing. You could try re-directing him, but he may just simply out-grow it.

I'm a hair twirler, as is DD. I still do it, but pretty much only when I'm driving. I have no idea why I'm doing it...it's usually when I'm daydreaming/relaxing. Riley does it as she's sucking her thumb and going to sleep...yeah she double dips in this self-soothing thing. I have no idea where she got the thumb sucking from, but the twirling is definitely from me. Cracks me up as I'm driving, and I look in the mirror and see her twirling her hair, and then I realize I'm doing it too.
Don't worry too much about it...he probably will outgrow it.
