Re: Apartment question?

Check the pennysaver online (I think it's scp.com). The ads come up on the website before the paper goes out so you have a better shot at the good apartments.

Re: Apartment question?

well, does she know approximately where she would like to live?

If so, she should scout out the apartment buildings / complexes she thinks she may like, and keep checking for 'for rent' signs.

Our apartment building is PERFECT for us... it was never listed in any ad.... we got it buy driving by every week and waiting for a tiny sign to appear on the door.... when it did, we called ASAP, saw the place, and put down a deposit!

Re: Apartment question?

Ditto on all of the above. I found when I came to Long Beach, a lot of good apartments are done through realtors. That's how we found our place.

If you're looking in Long Beach, let me know. We might be moving ourselves, and you could have ours. Chat Icon

Re: Apartment question?

Although more expensive, I prefer going through a realtor/agent.

Re: Apartment question?

I've heard that the Long Island Catholic often has good apartment listings.
