Are any of you planning to deliver at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola?
If so, can you please recommend your ob/gyn? thanks

I moved and therefore switched doctors, but I was going to Dr. Jeffrey Miller of University Plaza Obstetrics and Gynecology. It is a group of about 7 doctors with their office located at 877 Stewart Ave., Garden City. They do bloodwork and sonos in office. There were times that I had to wait since the doctor was running behind but if you like a practice with several doctors and lots of experience, this group would be great for you! GL in your search!

I used Dr Dolisi they are on Old Country rd in Garden City. He delivered both my dc and I highly recommend him.

This is the group I am currently using. I was new to the practice when I became pg because my Gynocologist stopped delivering recently and he recommended this group. They seem good... I will deliver my  any day now. I am due this Friday. Just an FYI... Dr. Scavo and Dr. Putterman (the two female drs. in the practice) are leaving as of July and won't be doing OB anymore only Gyn. They are opening a practice together on their own. So then there will only be Male drs left at University Plaza Obstectrics/Gyn. That doesn't bother me but might bother some?? Good luck!

i am delivering at winthrop and my doctor is Dr. John Gomes. he also delivered my daughter (she's 8) and he's fantastic..

I deliver at Winthrop. I use Garden City OB-GYN on Stewart Ave (Dr. Plancher is the OB, Melanie Summersille is the midwife)

I also go to this group. I love them. Dr. Scavo delivered my DD.

My friend told me there is another woman dr. there Dr. Poulikin (sp.?) I don't think she delivers babies anymore though either. I have an appt. with Scavo at the end of June. I will ask more questions.

Thanks ladies! Yes, I am used to a woman doctor but I may have to get over that shyness as I hear that Winthrop is one of the best for Women's Health.

I SECOND HIM!!! he delivered my twins!!!
AMAZING MAN!!!! he just had a set of twin 4 months ago!!
the staff super friendly and they care about you.... ( i was in the hosp for 2 weeks on bed rest and they came to visit me)
LOVE HIM!!!

I use Dr. Hanauer on Old Country Rd in Garden City, but neither her nor Dr Dolisi were available when DD was born. Dr Plancher delivered my DD, and I absolutely LOVE him. He was so absolutely wonderful during my delivery!

Yes I am - Dr. Hanauer is my OB. She is great and so far very pleased with her and the office.

omg and his twin boys are SOOO adorable!! yes i have to say he has the most helpful and caring staff.. I went in had a minor problem, and the immediate attention to my problem was amazing.. they call to check on you when your sick, the entire staff knows you by name.. there is NEVER EVER a wait in the office..

Another resounding enorsement for Dr. Dolisi and Hanauer!
I actually got the recommendation for them months ago from the other ladies on this board - after a very negative OB experience - and I am soooo happy! Their practice is just the right size, and everyone is friendly and professional. My appointments are never rushed, and my daughters and husband are always made to feel very welcome.

I use them too!! Based on my cousin's recomendation and I love them. All have been great  I like Miller and Rosenberg the best!

I use the same group and saw Dr. Levine a couple of times during my pregnancy, but my primary OB and who delivered me was Dr. Lieberman. They have offices in New Hyde Park, Mineola and Syosset. LOVE them!
