What hospital would you like to deliver at
For me it would be southside, the maternity ward is very nice so I have heard and the staff and docs are the best. My OB is affiliated with southside.

Winthrop. This is where my doctor is affiliated with. My sister just delivered there a few weeks ago and had a very good experience.

THis may sound weird. But NUMC in the midwifes room. It is supposed to be really nice. I have yet to see it.

I live in NJ, but if and when I am blessed enough to become pregnant, I will most likely be delivering at Morristown Hospital

I do live on LI and have many friends that delivered at NSUH (all with mixed opinions) which I considered at one point but I will deliver at New York Hospital (formerly NY Presbyterian) in Manhattan...
the hospital is one of the best in the country (rated #3 for obygn) and I love their doctors....when I had my m/c in October no one took a better care of me than the staff at the hospital....they were just great!!! it is an expensive hospital but well worth it...

I have actually seen the rooms on a baby story a few time and it does look nice.

i chose my new practice based on the fact that i want to deliver at south nassau in oceanside. my mom's friend delivered there after they renovated it and loved it!

My OBGYn is affiliated with South Nassau, I always wanted to deliver at NSLIJ, but I've only heard great things about South Nassau, and considering we live in Oceanside, it's ultra convenient!

If I had to choose, I'd choose Lenox Hill. But my doctors are LI docs not affiliated with that hospital in the city and frankly if I went into labor on LI, I dont think a baby would necessarily want to fight the traffic on the upper east side. Then again, my Mom delivered me at Beth Israel and was able to handle it. Shes tougher than I am.
I live extremely close to North Shore and even closer to LIJ. I would be pleased with either one. I had had nieces and a nephew born at both. LIJ is where my doctors works most.

My dr. is affiliated with Winthrop which is fine with me. They have an excellent NICU department. Too bad the visiting hours s*ck.

My Dr. is affiliated with South Nassau and Mercy. Mercy's maternity ward was nice when I visited DH's friend's wife. I don't know if DH would want to go there because he was in the Psych ward there.

REALLY??????? OMG I want to watch those episodes now!!!! I didn't know they had Baby story in Long Island ever. It always seems to be in NJ.

I saw those too! My first thought when the showed hospital was "Ew she's delivering at NUMC?!" but after I saw the room I want to deliver there! I would love to use the birthing tubs.

I go to Suffolk Ob/Gyn so when I do get pregnant I will deliver at St. Charles in Pt. Jefferson. I do have the choice to go to SUNY Stony Brook Hospital as well but I know people who delivered there and weren't crazy about it. I don't like the idea of a teaching hospital and I heard amazing things about St. Charles. My friend gave birth there this past July and had nothing but great things to say about it so St. Charles it will be!!

I also want to deliver at St. Charles Hospital when I get pregnant. I will be going to Suffolk Ob/Gyn. I am not to crazy about Stonybrook either. It feels like a city. We would like a relaxing enviornment.

I delivered at Stony Brook and had a great experience. My Dr goes to both St Charles and Stony Brook and I would go back to Stony Brook again.
