I'm not sure about a c-section (for some reason I think no) but I wore mine for my vaginal delivery

You are not allowed to wear contacts for a c-section, that I'm positive. Since it's a form of surgery, no "foreign" objects can be in your eyes liike contact lenses. Glasses are okay.
For regular delivery -- not 100% sure.

Re: are you allowed to wear contacts in the L & D room/or when
I just got a pair of great glasses that are so comfy and don't make my head ache because of this issue. I never asked my doctor, but I figured a really good pair of glasses will be helpful after the baby is born since I'll be sleeping odd hours and stuff. I love my contacts, but these glasses are really nice.

They asked if I had them in...I said no. I didn't want to take them out because I wanted to see and my glasses were not with me.

Re: are you allowed to wear contacts in the L & D room/or when
I've heard yes and I've heard no. I am getting glasses, since my eyes have been really bothering me, but I will go and get a fresh batch of contacts right before so that I have both just in case!

Re: are you allowed to wear contacts in the L & D room/or when
I asked my dr. finally! and she recommended against wearing them..to make a long story short..she said you could scratch your cornea...so i will not be wearing mine
ETS: for c/s... regular V. labor is okay

You would think it would be the other way around since during a Vaginal birth you're pushing so hard and squeezing you face/eyes, LOL and with a c-section you're just lying there?
