hehe...It's funny you should mention that. My Dh is sooo excited for the baby (due in feb.) and he wants us to each get a gift for him and open each other's gifts on xmas. I thought it was really cute!!!! We may do it. He hasn't gotten anything for him yet and he wants an excuse to buy him something.

I didn't - but last year for I was pregnant with our first at Christmas and my DH gave me a present to open. It was a set of Lincoln Logs for the baby. He was really cute and excited that the baby would have toy that he also had.

Our baby is due on Christmas Eve and family members keep asking what the baby WANTS for Christmas, I keep laughing because who knows if s/he will even be here then??? I totally undersatnd them being excited and wanting to buy gifts for the baby, but I feel really wierd making up a Christmas list for someone who may not even be here then.
If the baby arrives before Christmas I will buy an ornament for him/her, but that's all - I'm pretty sure s/he won't know what's going on anyway

i might buy dh a onesie or bib with a reference to something he likes on it, but nothing for baby really. i wouldn't be surprised if the grandparents bought us something for the baby, but more like "baby equipment" (carseat, etc.) than specifically for the baby, like a toy or something.

Kinda sorta'ish.....Since my SH calls the baby "Sprout", I got DH and the baby matching "Sprout" shirts from CafePress ( geez... you can find anything on that site- LOL !!!)
I also have a very strong sense that we are not going to make it to our Jan 6 c-section

are you kiddin? lol im so trying to take advantage of the fact that this is the last Christmas ill only be buying for one child lol...IMO i can see why first time mothers would wanna get alil something to commemorate being pregnant or having a newborn for Christmas, once you have more then one, youll see how expensive it gets
ETA:...BTW im TOTALLY the warm fuzzy type...my bank account after this lil girl arrives isnt :) hehehe
